The Center is a not-for-profit organization and a federally qualified health center (FQHC). Close to 60% of CFH’s patients receive Medicaid or Medicare; another 25% are uninsured and the remainder have commercial insurance. As an FQHC, CFH also receives a federal grant each year to support its sliding discount for under- and uninsured low-income patients. CFH’s low-income patients with commercial insurance are often eligible for the sliding discount. These grant funds do not fluctuate based on uninsured demand.
The Center for Family Health bills insurances for services and 75% of its revenues come from billing. The annual contribution from foundations and partners such as the Michigan Department of Community Health, Allegiance Health and others help make up the shortfall between the federal grant and charges to CFH’s sliding discount. The Center for Family Health's population of focus is the low-income uninsured and underinsured but people of all incomes levels and insurance status are welcome to use CFH as their medical home

In spite of these funds, we have many needs that we are not able to offer to our patients at this time. If you would like to help, please consider making a donation today.
