
Maternal and Infant Health (MIHP)
The goal of the MIHP program is to reduce infant deaths and increase the overall health of newborn babies.
Maternal Services:
We offer special kinds of help you may want before your baby is born. We provide information about:
- Pregnancy, labor and delivery
- What to eat while you are pregnant
- How to feed your newborn
- Your health and family planning after delivery
Infant Services:
We offer special kinds of help you may want for you and your baby. We provide information about
- How to care for your new baby, well or sick
- How your baby grows and develops
- What and how to feed your growing baby
- Home and car safety
We also provide:
- Referrals to parenting classes that are paid for by Medicaid
- Transportation assistance to your baby's doctor, WIC, Department of Human Services or parenting classes
- Help finding baby supplies, housing, car seats, health providers and more
