Prescription Assistance


The Center can help if you have no prescription coverage or if you simply can not afford your medications. We have three plans that can help residents of Jackson County.

HealthPay Prescription Program

How does the program work?

HealthPay covers most medications. If your medication can be discounted, you will receive between 10% to 90% off the retail cost. Your prescriptions must be written by a Center for Family Health provider and must be filled at the Center for Family Health Pharmacy. The pharmacy is located at 505 N. Jackson Street.

Community Medication Assistance Program
This program is funded by United Way to assist Jackson County residents get low cost prescriptions directly from the drug manufacturer.

How does the program work?

Your CMAP Coordinator will review your medications and determine what options you have. CMAP covers many medications. Your CMAP coordinator will be able to give you the most up-to-date list of covered medications.

Do I need to sign up for CMAP?

You may qualify for the program based on your income.

Jackson County Prescription Discount Program
This program allows those without prescription coverage to purchase prescription drugs at lower prices from their pharmacy. This program is being sponsored by Jackson County Board of Commissioners and Jackson Health Plan. Learn more..

How does the program work?

Take your prescription and your JCPDP card to your pharmacy. Almost all pharmacies participate. The pharmacist will fill the prescription and charge you the discount price. Always show your card for refills.

All drugs will be covered with the exception of the over-the-counter drugs and experimental medications.

Do I need to sign up for JCPDP?

Any resident of Jackson County who does not have drug coverage may qualify.
