Dr. Sharon Rouse named to top medical post at CFH

JACKSON, MI – Dr. Sharon Rouse, medical supervisor of the pediatrics and family-medicine departments at the Center for Family Health, will be promoted to the Center’s top medical position.

Effective Nov. 17, Dr. Rouse will become Chief Medical Officer at CFH, supervising all medical operations. She will follow Dr. Sangeeta Sinha in that post.

Dr. Sinha, an obstetrician/gynecologist who is also chairwoman of the obstetrics department at Henry Ford Allegiance Health, has served CFH and the Jackson community with skill, compassion, and dedication since 2005. She is moving out of state to be with her family.

“Dr. Sinha has provided skilled leadership during a time of growth of our health center,” said Molly Kaser, CEO at the Center for Family Health. “Her dedication to our mission and patients has been a gift.”

Dr. Rouse joined CFH as a pediatrician 12 years ago and in 2013 became primary-care medical director, supervising pediatrics and family medicine. She helped established the medical residency program with Henry Ford Allegiance Health.  She is also a former high-school science teacher, current chair of the governing board for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Jackson, and a board member for Reading and Writing Connection.

“Dr. Rouse brings an exceptional set of skills to this work,” said Kaser. “She has been involved in many facets of the Center and will no doubt continue to help us expand our work in the community. Dr. Rouse is a committed pediatric doctor who is loved by her patients. We are looking forward to her new role at the Center.”
