Preparing and Responding to the Coronavirus

Preparing and Responding to the Coronavirus

Updated April 30, 2020

We are still seeing patients. Medical services are available at our 505 N Jackson Street location. We are adhering to State and Federal recommendations by screening all staff, patients and visitors who come into the Center about any symptoms that they may have. Screenings take place at entrances to our buildings.

We encourage all patients to Call Us First before going to the Emergency Room unless you are having a life-threatening emergency.

COVID-19 Testing

COVID-19 testing at all three CFH sites is by appointment only. People who believe they may need testing should call the COVID-19 testing hotline at (517) 748-5363. We encourage essential workers and first responders including those who currently show no symptoms to contact us for testing. The hotline is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Our nurses and providers will conduct a screening and may make a recommendation for testing, or treatment at the Center.

The Center for Family Health has opened another testing site at the Northwest Community Health Center, 6700 Rives Junction Road in Blackman Township. The testing site is the third one opened by the Center since April 13, 2020. The other two are in Jackson at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, 1107 Adrian Street, and at the CFH Downtown Facility, 505 N. Jackson Street. All sites are by appointment only.

In accordance with the CARES Act, Section 3202(b) which requires providers of diagnostic testing for COVID-19 to publish the cash price of testing, the Center for Family Health has the following cash schedule:

  • Screening 99441 -         $25.00
  • Specimen Collection -   $15.00
  • Diagnostic Test -           $67.00

Note: No one is turned away due to inability to pay.

The Center for Family Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and offers services through a Sliding Fee Discount. All income-eligible uninsured or underinsured patients qualify for discounted services based on annual household income.

We have begun offering video visits through MyChart as another option for medical and behavioral health services.
